Fixed?!

I didn't think I was broken...

On a side note, I am 7 months old now and weighing 41.5 pounds.  I have about 10-15 pounds to go until I am fully grown.  I am very strong...so strong, in fact, that I plowed through the screen door a few days ago.  I thought that we could use a doggy door!  I don't have much new to report, except that I went on my first beach trip a couple weeks ago.

I was so excited on the ride to Capitola Beach...

We had lunch on the patio at Sweet Pea's

and walked the streets of Capitola-by-the-Sea.

Hung out on the beach.

Chased the tide and then ran from it.

Explored the rocks and caves.

And then I slept most of the way home.

Shortly after we got home, it was bathtime. Mom is such a party pooper!

PUPdate #6

I am 6 months old, already!  I weigh about 35 pounds, which is only 2.5 pounds more than last month.  My growth is slowing down a bit.  I am just about as tall as I'm going to get, so I will just be getting wider from now on. I have developed a very minor case of eczema, which is common in bulldogs.  I have a few dime-sized bald spots with dry skin.  The good news is that I might grow out of it!

I have a frisbee now and I love to play with it in the backyard!  I like for mom and dad to throw it..and then play tug of war or chase me.

 I require less attention and can entertain myself most of the time.  I also know to be careful around all the tiny people that visit us.  I'm even fully potty trained!  I go potty outside all day long and occasionally use a potty pad at night time.

I love to be outside!  I lay in the nice cold grass and sometimes help out with the mowing.  I like to chew on grass and my toys.  I don't get too many plush toys anymore because I destroy them and get fuzz all over the house.  I have stopped trying to chew on *most*  things that I am not allowed too...but have completely destroyed 2 dog beds in the past month.  I sleep on a blankie until I am a little older.

My new favorite place to hang out is mom and dad's bathtub.  I still don't care for the one in the guest bathroom where they give me my baths.

I also love the kitchen floor.  The tile is cold and I get a nice breeze from the sliding glass door.  You can catch me napping here.

I love going to the park!  We usually walk to the park and then jog around it.  Sometimes they let me off my leash so that I can play fetch, but I mostly just lay in the grass and watch birds.

My friend Cody the Boston Terrier comes over more these days.  We have so much fun chasing each other and playing tug of war.  We like to lay in the shade and slobber together when we're all played out.

I've also learned to shake paws!  I speak when I want to play or when I want a tummy rub.  I am very smart but stubborn, which can make for some hilarious or frustrating moments...depending on how you look at it.

PUPdate #5

Hello all! I am just over 5 months old now and growing like a weed.  I'm pretty sure they are putting Miracle Gro in my organic kibble.  Last week I went to the doc to get weighed...32.5 pounds! When I stretch out on the couch, I am about 4 feet long from front paw to hind paw.  I have been losing my milk teeth like crazy too!  I like to leave them on the floor for mommy and daddy to find.

Mommy bought me a large (16in-24in) collar because I outgrew my medium one.

I have calmed down a lot since I came home 3.5 months ago.  I still like to play

but I mostly like to lounge

and sunbathe

and lounge

and bake cookies

and lounge some more.

I guess mommy and daddy are pretty happy because I am getting better at playing fetch, taking myself outside to go potty, leaving them alone when they eat, and not jumping on people when they come over.  I learned "Go To Bed" and will even put myself there if tired enough.  The backyard is almost finished and I have claimed a patio chair for myself.  I finally learned "lay down" once they started saying "off" instead of "down".  Lay Down and Down are very confusing!

My newest likes are chasing birds and bugs and laying on the love seat instead of on the couch with mommy and daddy.  I won't take a nap anymore unless they put me in my room...I'm too interested in everything that is going on!  My latest food likes are blueberries, broccoli, squash, cabbage, steak and all-natural applesauce.

Mommy and I baked Oatmeal Raisin Cookies for Daddy and got him Starbucks, a card and a balloon.

I don't care for the balloon at all!
